Connecting Mission and Impact For Growth Takes Time

This week’s video is for holistic wellness professionals who are struggling to expand their audience in 2024. I tell true stories about my own struggle to expand my audience outside of the somatic/embodiment bubble I’ve loved for so long.

If you have made it past your first 5 years in business, you may still find 2024 challenging and difficult.

This video will help you understand why, and what you can do about it.

5 things I address are:

1. Recognizing wellness is a collective, societal endeavor as well as an individual pursuit will increase impact and income.

2. How to avoid the biggest reasons for business failure: lack of financial planning and lack of market need for the product or service you sell.

3. How your audience or niche will probably evolve over the course of your business, and conducting market research with those specific people and researching their communities will be essential.

4. Financial stability and a conscious time plan will be needed for those transitions to be successful. Be patient and get those elements in place first before rushing into new endeavors.

5. Integrate reflective practices and continually iterate your offerings based on community feedback for continuous improvement.

I’m right in the middle of all these things myself, which is why I’m writing and talking about them. I’m in the muck! I know that personally, for me to stay joyful and energized with what’s going on in the world right now, I need to be with people who are working for peace.

I’ve been teaching Cranial Nerve Sequencing to a group of young women in Afghanistan who have designed their own mental wellness program – despite facing extreme barriers to education and freedom.

These women are dealing with some extremely oppressive circumstances and under-resourced in some ways – but they are also deeply resilient and resourced in other ways.

When was the last time you were on Zoom meeting where people were telling each other “you are beautiful! Don’t forget how beautiful you are!” What a joy.

They are also committed to sharing anything they learn with other women in their families and communities. I know that they see wellness and resilience as a community endeavor.

If you would like to hear more about their project, go here.

Wellness and embodiment are not solitary pursuits but can be deeply rooted in community and collective well-being.

Are you finding your business shrinking this year and not knowing what to do about it? I’d love to hear what your specific challenges are, especially if I haven’t addressed them or could create more content in future that would fill in the gaps.

It can seem impossible to re-vivify a business that is not meeting your financial or personal needs. It’s not, but it does require clarifying intentions and building bridges from where you are to where you want to be.

If you could use some support for this essential process, feel free to reach out and book a 45 minute free strategy session. It’s market research for me!
